What Makes You Different Is What Makes You Beautiful

Happy Wonderful Wednesday, Amazing Stratton Family!!!

Stratton is excited to celebrate Autism Awareness Month throughout April!!! Our Student Council Team is preparing to share valuable information about autism school-wide by leading presentations and conversations in all classes. Teachers are integrating learning opportunities on Autism in class discussions, various read-alouds, presentations, and other exploratory methods. Not to mention, numerous staff members are demonstrating our love and support of our Autistic community by sharing and wearing select colors and wristbands that honor diversity!! We are honored to serve all students, staff, and families, but this month we want to admire those who are often overlooked and misunderstood.

Stratton Students LEARN & USE New Words!

We are exploring a school-wide initiative to expose all students to new academic vocabulary every day in every classroom. We are confident that this will have a positive effect on student learning outcomes!

The word for the week is idiom: a figurative speech that only makes sense figuratively, not literally. Ex. I’m ready to hit the sack. Please share this word with your family and celebrate our students as they use and learn new words!
